The definition of resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties, or in other words, to be tough. Athletes are constantly bombarded with challenges as a result of their training, injuries, and competitions. The difference between quitting and trying again can sometimes boil down to having a bit of resilience to these adversities.

The Support 4 Sport programme works to give these amazing athletes the support to deal with their injuries but ultimately, how they cope comes down to their own mental strength. So for the next blog series, we are going to dive into what makes our S4S athletes resilient to the challenges they face. So stay tuned!
